Struvite Effects on Rice Growth and Productivity under Flood-Irrigation in the Greenhouse

چکیده

In recent years, electrochemical precipitation has gained interest as an alternative method for the synthesis of various minerals, including struvite, from waste streams that can serve fertilizer. Studies in lowland cultivations, specifically rice (Oryza sativa) under flood-irrigated conditions, evaluating struvite a possible phosphorus (P) fertilizer source have been limited. The objective this study was to evaluate response electrochemically precipitated (ECST) compared triple superphosphate (TSP), diammonium phosphate (DAP), chemically (CPST), and unamended control (UC), grown flooded-soil conditions greenhouse. Aboveground vegetative dry matter (DM) P concentration greatest UC (0.18%) lowest DAP (0.08%). Root DM Mg ECST (0.13%) TSP (0.10%). Grain yield (11.2 Mg•ha−1) (4.0 Mg•ha−1). N, P, K, uptake were consistently UC. N 1.1 times greater CPST than ECST, while all other measured properties did not differ between struvite-P sources. many similar responses materials (ECST CPST) demonstrate particularly is valid fertilizer-P rice-production systems. Further studies should potential environmental implications (i.e., runoff water quality greenhouse gas emissions) use could affect agricultural sustainability.

Rice Photosynthetic Productivity and PSII Photochemistry under Nonflooded Irrigation

Nonflooded irrigation is an important water-saving rice cultivation technology, but little is known on its photosynthetic mechanism. The aims of this work were to investigate photosynthetic characteristics of rice during grain filling stage under three nonflooded irrigation treatments: furrow irrigation with plastic mulching (FIM), furrow irrigation with nonmulching (FIN), and drip irrigation w...

the effects of changing roughness on the flow structure in the bends

flow in natural river bends is a complex and turbulent phenomenon which affects the scour and sedimentations and causes an irregular bed topography on the bed. for the reason, the flow hydralics and the parameters which affect the flow to be studied and understand. in this study the effect of bed and wall roughness using the software fluent discussed in a sharp 90-degree flume bend with 40.3cm ...

Effects of Irrigation with Saline Water on Crop Growth and Yield in Greenhouse Cultivation

Since the salinity of irrigation water is a critical constraint to the production of certain vegetable crops, salinity has been considered as one of the most important factors of irrigation water. The objective of this study was to investigate the response of lettuce and Chinese cabbage to various salinity levels of irrigation water in greenhouse cultivation. A pot experiment was conducted with...

Effects of deficit irrigation and groundwater depth on root growth of direct seeding rice in a column experiment

Rice is an essential crop in Iran that is grown mostly in areas where depth to groundwater is low. Root growth and water uptake of rice under shallow groundwater has not been thoroughly studied. This experiment was conducted to determine the lowland rice (cv. Ghasrodashti) root distribution above shallow groundwater in relation to deficit irrigation and groundwater depth in cylindrical gre...
